The School of Nursing started in 1980 for General Nursing and Midwifery to have well-trained & compassionate nurses, to serve the sick in the hospital, with skill and love. The School of Nursing enjoys the recognition of the Nursing Council, New Delhi and the U.P. State Medical Faculty.

The School of Nursing accepts 20 unmarried female students of 17 to 25 years of age, every year. Candidates are required to have passed Higher Secondary examination (10+2) or its equivalent preferably with science subjects. Prospectus is available at office from the first of March each year. The   entrance examination is conducted during mid July and the session starts on 1st September every year. Students receive free nursing and midwifery training for 3½ years in an atmosphere conducive for their physical, intellectual, moral and spiritual  development.

Nursing tutors and students, conduct Community Health project in various villages providing field training to the nursing students and community health services like motivation and awareness on health subjects, counseling programmes in baby care, food & nutrition, hygine, sanitation, post immunization & HIV/ AIDS and adult education, to the villagers. Tailoring and knitting training is also imparted to village ladies to earn their livelihood through these skills.
